barīka (बरीक).—ad (barā Good, well.) A very common expletive, corresponding with our "Indeed," in the senses of In very truth, to be sure; truly, actually; or This is to be granted that. It is used as a particle of connection. It notes concession in comparisons &c. Ex. hē sagaḷē ḍāginē vāīṭa āhēta hā ba0 cāṅgalā; hē mājhē āmbē cāṅgalē āhēta hā ba0 lāgalēlā kharā; kōṇhī yēta nāhīṃ mī ba0 yēīna; mī kadhīṃ khōṭēṃ bōlata nāhīṃ āja ba0 bōlalōṃ.
