薄情 [báo qíng] [bao qing]—
1. Lacking in affection; unfeeling. For example: "How can you be so (bóqíng), not even giving me a letter!" In Chapter 19 of Dream of the Red Chamber (紅樓夢 [hong lou meng]): "寶玉 [bao yu] (Bǎoyù) heard this and thought to himself, 'Who knew such a person could be so 無義 [wu yi] (bóqíng wúyì)!'"
2. An unfeeling person; a heartless person. From Li Xianmin's (李獻民 [li xian min]) Yunzhai Guanglu (雲齋廣錄 [yun zhai guang lu]) during the Song Dynasty: "Tears wet the fragrant silk handkerchief, refusing to dry in the wind; I wish to rely on the geese flying west, to send it for the (bóqíng) to see."
薄情:1.寡情。如:「你怎麼這般薄情,連封信都不給我!」《紅樓夢》第一九回:「寶玉聽了,自思道:『誰知這樣一個人,這樣薄情無義!』」

báo qíng:1. guǎ qíng. rú: “nǐ zěn me zhè bān báo qíng, lián fēng xìn dōu bù gěi wǒ! ” < hóng lóu mèng> dì yī jiǔ huí: “bǎo yù tīng le, zì sī dào: ‘shuí zhī zhè yàng yī gè rén, zhè yàng báo qíng wú yì! ’ ”

寶慶 [bǎo qìng] [bao qing]—
1. Place name. Its jurisdiction is now the areas of Shaoyang City (邵陽市 [shao yang shi]), Xinhua County (新化縣 [xin hua xian]), and Shaodong County (邵東縣 [shao dong xian]) in Hunan Province (湖南省 [hu nan sheng]). From Essentials of Historical Geography (讀史方輿紀要 [du shi fang yu ji yao]), Volume 81, Huguang 7, Baoqing Prefecture (府 [fu]): "It was the domain of Jingzhou (荊州 [jing zhou]) according to the Tribute of Yu (禹貢 [yu gong])... In the early Baoqing period, it was elevated to Baoqing Prefecture (府 [fu]). During the Yuan Dynasty (元 [yuan]), it was called Baoqing Circuit (路 [lu]), and in the early Ming Dynasty (明 [ming]), it was again called Baoqing Prefecture (府 [fu])."
2. The reign title (年號 [nian hao]) of Emperor Lizong (理宗 [li zong]) of the Song Dynasty (宋朝 [song chao]) (1225–1227 CE).
寶慶:1.地名。其轄境為今湖南省邵陽市、新化縣、邵東縣等地。《讀史方輿紀要.卷八一.湖廣七.寶慶府》:「禹貢荊州之域,……寶慶初、升為寶慶府。元曰:『寶慶路』,明初曰:『寶慶府』。」

To request instructions by means of a written report (書面報告請示 [shu mian bao gao qing shi]). For example: "It seems this matter can only be reported to the superior (長官 [zhang guan]) for a final decision (定奪 [ding duo])." From Xu Ke's (徐珂 [xu ke]) Qing Dynasty Unofficial History (《清稗類鈔 [qing bai lei chao]》), 'Section on Aides' (幕僚類 [mu liao lei]), 'Zuo Wenxiang (左文襄 [zuo wen xiang]) Assisting Luo Wenzhong (駱文忠 [luo wen zhong])', Qing (清 [qing]) Dynasty: "Officials below the provincial surveillance commissioner (監司 [jian si]) would invariably present their matters (白事 [bai shi]) and request Mr. Zuo San's (左三先生 [zuo san xian sheng]) approval (可否 [ke fou])."
報請:以書面報告請示。如:「看來這件事只有報請長官定奪了。」清.徐珂《清稗類鈔.幕僚類.左文襄佐駱文忠》:「監司以下白事,輒報請左三先生可否。」
bào qǐng: yǐ shū miàn bào gào qǐng shì. rú: “kàn lái zhè jiàn shì zhǐ yǒu bào qǐng zhǎng guān dìng duó le.” qīng. xú kē < qīng bài lèi chāo. mù liáo lèi. zuǒ wén xiāng zuǒ luò wén zhōng>: “jiān sī yǐ xià bái shì, zhé bào qǐng zuǒ sān xiān shēng kě fǒu.”
