抱粗腿 [bào cū tuǐ] [bao cu tui]—
Likes to flatter (拍马屁 [pai ma pi]) and cling to (攀附 [pan fu]) the powerful and influential (權貴 [quan gui]). From Chapter 44 (第四四回 [di si si hui]) of A Marriage to Awaken the World (《醒世姻緣傳 [xing shi yin yuan chuan]》): 'That concubine, after all, still dragged her own husband into it; and not only did she involve her husband, but she also claimed that all the household servants were brazen and unscrupulous, currying favor with the powerful, and accustomed to the fickleness of human relationships (慣炎涼 [guan yan liang]).' Also known as '抱大足桿 [bao da zu gan]'.
抱粗腿:喜歡拍馬屁,攀附權貴。《醒世姻緣傳》第四四回:「那妾,畢竟也還把自己丈夫扯在裡頭;也還不止於牽扯丈夫,還要把那家中使喚的人,都說他欺心膽大,抱粗腿,慣炎涼。」也作「抱大足桿」。
