Balāpañcaka (बलापञ्चक).—A pentad of the five medicinal herbs; बला, महाबला, नागबला, अतिबला (balā, mahābalā, nāgabalā, atibalā) and राजबला (rājabalā). The Bhāvaprakāsacute;a however, mentions बलाचतुष्टय (balācatuṣṭaya); बलाचतुष्टयं शीतं मधुरं बलकान्ति- कृत् । स्निग्ध्नं ग्राहि समीरास्रपित्तास्रक्षतनाशनम् (balācatuṣṭayaṃ śītaṃ madhuraṃ balakānti- kṛt | snigdhnaṃ grāhi samīrāsrapittāsrakṣatanāśanam) ||
