For example, at Baichavalli there is a damaged hero stone found in front of the Hanumān temple which seems to record the death of a person. In characters of about the 12th century.
There is also a stone set up near the Basavaṇṇa temple which states that the dam of a tank at Baisavalli which had given way was repaired and an endowment of wet land made for its upkeep. This inscription belongs to king Trailokyamalla of the Western Chālukya dynasty and is dated Śaka 969 (1047 A.D., September 21).
