bahuguṇī (बहुगुणी).—a (bahu & guṇa) That has many accomplishments; that can do many things; that may be applied to many purposes;--used of a person or a thing. Ex. ba0 īśvarabhajanī lakṣācā manuṣya mōṭē yōgya Richly endowed or qualified, pious and devout, a man amongst a hundred-thousand, exceedingly honorable and worthy. This is an equivoque or double entendre for a Dolt or blockhead. The key consists in the initial letters of the words and the concluding two words; viz. ba, ī, la, & mōṭē yōgya.
