Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarybāhmaṇī huraḍā (बाह्मणी हुरडा).—m Applied by the Kun̤bi or peasant to heads of jōndhaḷā &c. become too ripe and hard to admit of parching. Such worthless heads are culled and presented to Brahman-applicants that these gentry may be less eager to apply for huraḍā q. v.
