India history and geography
Source: academia.edu: The Yona or Yavana Kings of the time of the Legendary King AshokaIt appears that a branch of Indo-Greeks of Bactria was aware of their origin from Turvasu, the son of Yayati and Devayani. Therefore, they claimed themselves to be Vaishnavas and Parama-bhagavatas. They also considered Vasudeva (Sri Krishna) to be their ancestor. A coin of these Yavanas has images of Vasudeva (Sri Krishna), Conch and Sudarshana chakra.
The history of India traces the identification of countries, villages, towns and other regions of India, as well as mythology, zoology, royal dynasties, rulers, tribes, local festivities and traditions and regional languages. Ancient India enjoyed religious freedom and encourages the path of Dharma, a concept common to Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism.
