跋陀迦毘羅 [ba tuo jia pi luo]—Bhadrakapilā — [Personal Name (人名 [ren ming])] The name of a Bhikkhuni (比丘尼 [bi qiu ni]). She was once coerced by King Pasenadi (波斯匿王 [bo si ni wang]), but her mind was free from defilement and attachment (染愛 [ran ai]). She escaped and went to Jetavana (祇洹 [qi huan]). The Buddha said, "If the mind is without love and defilement (愛染 [ai ran]), then there is no sin." See Mahīśāsaka Vinaya (十誦律 [shi song lu]) Book 2, and Jing Lü Yi Xiang (經律異相 [jing lu yi xiang]) Book 23.
