颰陀 [ba tuo]—Bhadra — [Bodhisattva (菩薩 [pu sa])]. Also written as Bhadra (跋陀 [ba tuo]) or Bhadra ([車 [che](乏 [fa]-之 [zhi]+犮 [ba])]陀 [tuo]). An abbreviation of Bhadrapāla (和羅 [he luo]). All three forms are pronounced similarly to 'pú mò' (蒲沫 [pu mo]). This [term] is translated as 'Benevolent and Virtuous' (仁賢 [ren xian]) or 'Virtuous Protector' (賢護 [xian hu])."
