Nabhāga was the son of Śruta. Nabhāga gave birth to Sindhudvīpa from whom was born Ayutāyu (or Ayutāyus). Ṛtuparṇa was the son of Ayutāyu who attained the status of the Leader of Gaṇas by the grace of Lord Śiva.
Ayutāyus (or Ayutāyu) is known as Ayutāśva in the Viṣṇupurāṇa chapter IV.4
The Purana (पुराण, purāṇas) refers to Sanskrit literature preserving ancient India’s vast cultural history, including historical legends, religious ceremonies, various arts and sciences. The eighteen mahapuranas total over 400,000 shlokas (metrical couplets) and date to at least several centuries BCE.
