[Page108-b+ 71] āvṛh°) tac chavimānsalohitaṃ vyavadahyati; in Mahāvastu i.13.2 read with mss. āvṛṃhato (pres. pple.) chavimānsa- rudhiraṃ vā prasāraye, tearing off the very skin, flesh, and blood, would remove them.
