Source: Wisdom Library: Kubjikāmata-tantraAvāntarakalpa (अवान्तरकल्प):—One of the ‘special period of time’ (kalpa) associated with the group of eight deities (mātṛ) born from Śaśinī, according to the Kubjikāmata-tantra. Śaśinī is the third of the Eight Mahāmātṛs, residing within the Mātṛcakra (third of the five cakras) and represents the moon.
Shaiva (शैव, śaiva) or Shaivism (śaivism) represents a tradition of Hinduism worshiping Shiva as the supreme being. Closely related to Shaktism, Shaiva literature includes a range of scriptures, including Tantras, while the root of this tradition may be traced back to the ancient Vedas.
