Avamūrdhanaśaya (अवमूर्धनशय).—a. [avamūrddhā san śete; śī ac] lying with the head hanging down.

-yaḥ one who sleeps with his head hanging down, such as man (opp. deva); उत्तानशया देवा अवमूर्धशया मनुष्याः (uttānaśayā devā avamūrdhaśayā manuṣyāḥ).
