1) To despise, contemn, disregard, disrespect; चतुर्दिगीशानवमत्य मानिनी (caturdigīśānavamatya māninī) Kumārasambhava 5.53; Manusmṛti 2.11,4.135, प्रभावविदितानुरागमवमन्यते वापि माम् (prabhāvaviditānurāgamavamanyate vāpi mām) V.2. 11.
