Avalīḍha (अवलीढ).—p. p.

1) Eaten, chewed; नोत्सहे परिभोगाय श्वावलीढं हविर्यथा (notsahe paribhogāya śvāvalīḍhaṃ haviryathā) Mahābhārata (Bombay) 3.291.13. दर्भैरर्धावलीढैः (darbhairardhāvalīḍhaiḥ) Ś.1.7; Ms. 4.28.

2) Licked, lapped; touched (fig. also); विष- ज्वालावलीढावयवा (viṣa- jvālāvalīḍhāvayavā) Daśakumāracarita 9; नवयौवनावलीढावयवा (navayauvanāvalīḍhāvayavā) 17, 75 pervaded by youth; अस्त्रज्वालावलीढप्रतिबलजलधरेन्तरौर्वायमाणे (astrajvālāvalīḍhapratibalajaladharentaraurvāyamāṇe) Ved.3.7. surrounded (on all sides); Kirātārjunīya 13.11; bit; बीजाञ्जलिः पतति कीटमुखावलीढः (bījāñjaliḥ patati kīṭamukhāvalīḍhaḥ) Mṛcchakaṭika 1.9.
