Aurdhvadehika (और्ध्वदेहिक).—a. (- f.) [ऊर्ध्वदेहाय साधु ठञ् (ūrdhvadehāya sādhu ṭhañ) P.IV.3.6 Vārt.1]

1) Relating to a deceased person, funeral, performed in honour of the dead (as a rite); °क्रिया (kriyā) obsequies, funeral rites; Pañcatantra (Bombay) 1.

2) Pertaining to ब्रह्म (brahma); जनको जनदेवस्तु मिथिलायां जनाधिपः । और्ध्वदेहिकर्धमाणा- मासीद्युक्तो विचिन्तने (janako janadevastu mithilāyāṃ janādhipaḥ | aurdhvadehikardhamāṇā- māsīdyukto vicintane) || Mahābhārata (Bombay) 12.218.3.
