Source: Sutta: The Pali Text Society's Pali-English DictionaryAṭṭhaṅgula refers to: eight finger-breadths thick, eight inches thick, i.e. very thick, of double thickness J. II, 91 (in contrast to caturaṅgula); Mhvs 29, 11 (with sattaṅgula).
Note: aṭṭhaṅgula is a Pali compound consisting of the words aṭṭha and aṅgula.
