aṭharā kārakhānē (अठरा कारखाने).—m pl (aṭharā & P) The eighteen great departments of a state. These are uṣṭara-khabutara-janāna-javāhīra-jāmadāra-jikīra-tālīma- tōpha-thaṭṭī-daphatara or daptara-dāru-divāna-nagāra-pīla-pha- rāsa-bandī-mōdī-śikāra-khānā. Or, according to another classification, tōpa-pīla-uṣṭara-pharāsa-śikāra- ratha-jāmadāra-javāhīra-jirāīta-nagāra-dāru-vaidya-lakaḍa imāratī-mudabakha-kuṇabiṇī-khājagata-thaṭṭī, or still, another, khajinā-daphtara-jāmadāra-pīla-jirāīta-ambara- pharāsa-mudabakha-nagāra-sarabata-ābadāra-śikāra-tālīma- dāru-uṣṭara-bakarē-tōpa-sarāpha. 2 fig.
