Ātarpaṇa (आतर्पण).—

1) Satisfaction, gratification.

2) Pleasing, satisfying.

3) White-washing the wall, floor or seat (on festive occasions) (maṅgalālepanam).

4) The pigment used for the above purpose; आतर्पणं प्रीणने स्यान्मङ्गलालेपनेऽपि च (ātarpaṇaṃ prīṇane syānmaṅgalālepane'pi ca) Medinī.
