Asparśayoga (अस्पर्शयोग) refers to the “yoga of ‘no-contact’”.—In the Gauḍapāda’s Māṇḍūkyopaniṣatkārikā verse 3.39 on the yoga of ‘no-contact’ (asparśayoga), the Yogin is advised to restrain his mind when it is distracted by enjoyments and desire (kāma), and also when it is serene in sleep (laya). For, in Gauḍapāda’s view, just as desire is unprofitable so too is sleep.
