Ardhika (अर्धिक).—a. (- f.) [अर्धमर्हति ठन् (ardhamarhati ṭhan)]

1) Measuring a half; तदर्धिक (tadardhika) Manusmṛti 3.1.

2) Entitled to half a share; Y.2. 296.

-kaḥ A half-caste man; वैश्यकन्यासमुत्पन्नो ब्राह्मणेन तु संस्कृतः । अर्धिकः स तु विज्ञेयो भोज्यो विप्रैर्न संशयः (vaiśyakanyāsamutpanno brāhmaṇena tu saṃskṛtaḥ | ardhikaḥ sa tu vijñeyo bhojyo viprairna saṃśayaḥ) Parāśara.
