Ardhamāyūrī (अर्धमायूरी) refers to one of the three mārjanā: rules used in the playing of drums (puṣkara) [with reference to Mṛdaṅga, Paṇava and Dardura] according to the Nāṭyaśāstra chapter 33. Accordingly, “notes in the māyūrī-mārjanā are gāndhāra in the yāmaka, and ṣaḍja in the dakṣiṇa-puṣkara and madhyama in the ūrdhavaka”. Also, “the ardha-māyūrī will be in the ṣāḍja-grāma”.
