Source: Wisdom Library: Raj NighantuĀpyakṣetra (आप्यक्षेत्र) or simply Āpya refers to “watery land” and represents one of the five classifications of “land” (kṣetra), as defined in the first chapter (ānūpādi-varga) of the 13th-century Raj Nighantu or Rājanighaṇṭu (an Ayurvedic encyclopedia). The Anūpādi-varga covers some 16 major topics regarding land (e.g., Āpya-kṣetra) and vegetations.
Āyurveda (आयुर्वेद, ayurveda) is a branch of Indian science dealing with medicine, herbalism, taxology, anatomy, surgery, alchemy and related topics.
