Apaścima (अपश्चिम).—a.

1) What is not followed by any other, having no other in the rear, last (used much in the same sense as paścima; cf. uttama and anuttama, uttara and anuttara); अयमत्र ते जन्मन्यपश्चिमः पश्चिमावस्थाप्रार्थितो मकरन्द- बाहुपरिष्वङ्गः (ayamatra te janmanyapaścimaḥ paścimāvasthāprārthito makaranda- bāhupariṣvaṅgaḥ) Mālatīmādhava (Bombay) 9; अयमपश्चिमस्ते रामस्य शिरसि पादपङ्कजस्पर्शः (ayamapaścimaste rāmasya śirasi pādapaṅkajasparśaḥ) Uttararāmacarita 1.
