Aparāddha (अपराद्ध).—p. p.

1) Sinned, offended, having committed an offence, guilty, an offender, criminal (used in an active sense); कृतवत्यसि नावधीरणामपराद्धेऽपि यदा चिरं मयि (kṛtavatyasi nāvadhīraṇāmaparāddhe'pi yadā ciraṃ mayi) R.8.48; प्रोवाच कोशलपतिः प्रथमापराद्धः (provāca kośalapatiḥ prathamāparāddhaḥ) 9.79 the first to offend.

2) Missed, not hitting the mark (as an arrow) मृगदेहापराद्धैर्नामेषुमोक्षणैः (mṛgadehāparāddhairnāmeṣumokṣaṇaiḥ) Daśakumāracarita 163; °इषुः (iṣuḥ) or °पृषत्कः (pṛṣatkaḥ) an archer whose arrows always miss the mark, an unskilful archer; निमित्तादपराद्धेषोर्धानुष्कस्येव वल्गितम् (nimittādaparāddheṣordhānuṣkasyeva valgitam) Śiśupālavadha 2.27.

3) Violated, transgressed; अपराद्धा अभिषेकवेलोपाध्यायस्य (aparāddhā abhiṣekavelopādhyāyasya) V.3.
