Apakarman (अपकर्मन्).—a. [bahu. sa.] Of bad or degraded actions, corrupted, depraved. -nrma)

1) Discharge, paying off (of a debt); दत्तस्यानपकर्म च (dattasyānapakarma ca) Manusmṛti 8.4.

2) An improper or unworthy act; evil doing, conduct, or course; any degrading or impure act.

3) Wickedness, violence, oppression.

4) Incompetence, laziness.

2) (In Law.) Tak-ing away; esp. in the combination dattasyānapakarma or dattānapakarma ‘not taking back again a thing given, non-resumption of a gift’. E. kṛ with apa, uṇ. aff. manin. Ii. Any impure or degrading act or rite. Comp. apakriyā. E. apa deter. and karman.
