Anuveśya (अनुवेश्य).—a. [anukrameṇa veśamarhati, yat] A next-door neighbour.

Ānuveśya (आनुवेश्य).—[anuveśaṃ vasati] A neighbour who lives next to the next-door neighbour; प्रातिवेश्यानुवेश्यौ च कल्याणे विंशतिद्विजे (prātiveśyānuveśyau ca kalyāṇe viṃśatidvije) Manusmṛti 8.392; (on which Kull. says; nirantaragṛhavāsī prātiveśyaḥ, tadanantaragṛhavāsyānuveśyaḥ). The word is also found to be witten as अनुवेश्य (anuveśya).
