(-ttaḥ-ttā-ttaṃ) Unaccented. m.
(-ttaḥ) One of the three accents to be observed in reading the Vedas, the grave accent. E. an neg. ut high, and ātta pronounced, from dā to give, āṅ prefixed, to speak, and kta affixed: pronouncing the vowels in a low and full tone.
