Antarāyakarma (अन्तरायकर्म) or Antarāya refers to one of the eight types of karma, according to the 2nd-century Tattvārthasūtra 2.1.—What is the meaning of obstructing (antarāya) karmas? It means the karmas which obstructs, or creates obstructions in the successful completion of an activity.

Antarāyakarma (अन्तरायकर्म) refers to “hindering karma”, according to the Ḍhaṃḍhaṇaṛṣisajjhāya by Jinaharṣa dealing with the lives of Jain teachers.—The Ḍhaṃḍhaṇaṛṣi-sajjhāya (in Gujarati) is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—Accordingly, “Ḍhaṃḍha (Ḍhaṃḍhaṇa) was Kṛṣṇa’s son. As a monk he took the special vow (abhigraha) that he would accept only pure food, but could never get it (because of some previous hindering karma, antarāyakarma). [...]”.
