Annādhīśa (अन्नाधीश):—[tatpurusha compound] m.

(-śaḥ) The divinity ruling over food; the annādhīśāḥ are certain divinities or personifications invoked at the annahoma q. v. and comprise the following: vāja, prasava, apija, kratu, svar, mūrdhan, vyaśnuvin, āntya, āntya-bhauvana, bhuvanasya pati, adhipati, prajāpati. E. anna and adhīśa.
