aṅgaṭhēdāma (अंगठेदाम).—m (aṅgaṭhā Great toe, dāma Money.) aṅgaṭhyācā māna m The money given at marriages by the bridegroom to the sister of the bride; to induce her to set free the bride's great toe, which she sits holding and pressing. Which important function is called aṅgaṭhēdābaṇī.
