Source: The University of Sydney: A study of the Twelve ReflectionsAnādiprabhava (अनादिप्रभव) refers to “arising from eternity”, according to the 11th century Jñānārṇava, a treatise on Jain Yoga in roughly 2200 Sanskrit verses composed by Śubhacandra.—Accordingly, “This [self], which is master of the three worlds, omniscient [and] possessed of infinite power, does not recognise itself and has deviated from its own true nature. Tarnished by awful stains arising from eternity (anādiprabhava), it grasps objects according to its own desire which are very different from itself”.
