安穩 [an wen]—Anwen—[Term] Refers to a state where the body and mind are at peace and stable.
The Chapter on Parables (譬喻品 [pi yu pin]) of the Lotus Sutra (法華經 [fa hua jing]) states: "The body and mind are at ease, quickly attaining security and peace."
Volume 14 of Wenju (文句 [wen ju]) says: "Not endangered by the Five Defilements (五濁 [wu zhuo]) and Eight Sufferings (八苦 [ba ku]), hence it is called 'An' (peace/security). Even if the sun falls and there is a violent storm, it cannot be moved, hence it is called 'Wen' (stability/firmness)."
The character 穩 [wen] (wěn) can also be written as 隱 [yin] (yǐn).
安穩—【術語】身安心穩也。法華經譬喻品曰:「身意泰然,快得安穩。」文句十四曰:「不為五濁八苦所危,故名安。日倒暴風所不能動,故名穩。」穩通作隱。
[shù yǔ] shēn ān xīn wěn yě. fǎ huá jīng pì yù pǐn yuē: “shēn yì tài rán, kuài dé ān wěn.” wén jù shí sì yuē: “bù wèi wǔ zhuó bā kǔ suǒ wēi, gù míng ān. rì dào bào fēng suǒ bù néng dòng, gù míng wěn.” wěn tōng zuò yǐn.
[shu yu] shen an xin wen ye. fa hua jing pi yu pin yue: "shen yi tai ran, kuai de an wen." wen ju shi si yue: "bu wei wu zhuo ba ku suo wei, gu ming an. ri dao bao feng suo bu neng dong, gu ming wen." wen tong zuo yin.
