ambaṇēṃ (अंबणें).—v i (amba) To become sour--moist articles of food by exposure or keeping. 2 To be turned; to be set on edge--palate or teeth, from eating sour things. 3 To become tender and sore--the body or a limb from bruises or blows, or from fatigue. 4 To be sated and wearied with. 5 To become well practised or versed in.

To be cheerless, glum, sour(as of temper). ambata paḍaṇēṃ To remain suspended for a long time-any begun work. ambata ṭākaṇēṃ To leave (a begun work) sus- pended.
