Alugaṇi Siddha is also one of the later Siddhas, but nothing is known about him. From the spelling found in the Tamil version, it may right to say that he composed his songs beautifully and hence, he name as Alugaṇi. (Alagu = beauty + Aṇi = rhetoric skill). But some of the scholars interpreted his name as Alukaṇṇi, the words denotes a person with weeping eyes.
