Ākkiṉēyam (ஆக்கினேயம்) noun < āgnēya.

1. That which belongs to Agni; அக்கினிக்குரி யது. [akkinikkuri yathu.]

2. The South-East quarter of which Agni is guardian; தென்கீழ்த்திசை. [thenkizhthisai.]

3. Missle weapon of fire. See ஆக்கினேயாஸ்திரம். பொய்யறு மாக்கினேய மவித்தவிப் புகழோன் [akkineyasthiram. poyyaru makkineya mavithavip pugazhon] (இரகுவமிசம் மீட்சி. [iraguvamisam midsi.] 97).
