1) Fossil or rock salt.

2) Saline earth (Mar. ukhara); खातकण्टकपाषाणैर्दुष्पथं दुर्गमैरिणम् (khātakaṇṭakapāṣāṇairduṣpathaṃ durgamairiṇam) (Śukra.4.848).
