隘窘 [ài jiǒng] [ai jiong]—
In dire straits. "When people are in desperate need, it is as if they are trapped in a narrow and difficult situation (- ài jiǒng). How can force be used?" (From Strategies of the Warring States, Qi Strategy 3).
隘窘:窮困。《戰國策.齊策三》:「人之急也,若自在隘窘之中,豈用強力哉!」
