ahiguṇṭhika : (m.) snake-catcher.

Ahiguṇṭhika refers to: (? reading uncertain, we find as vv. ll. °guṇḍika, °guṇṭika & °kuṇḍika; the BSk. paraphrase is °tuṇḍika Divy 497. In view of this uncertainty we are unable to pronounce a safe etymology; it is in all probability a dialectical; may be Non-Aryan, word. See also under kuṇḍika & guṇṭhika & cp.
