Agnimadhya (अग्निमध्य) means “in the midst of the Fire”, according to the Ṣaṭsāhasrasaṃhitā, an expansion of the Kubjikāmatatantra: the earliest popular and most authoritative Tantra of the Kubjikā cult.—Accordingly, “In the midst of the Sun, Moon and Fire [i.e., sūryasoma-agnimadhya], is the supreme energy called Kukārā. O mistress of the gods, she resides in the foundation. Emanation takes place there”.
