Agnija (अग्निज).—a. produced by or from fire, born from fire. (-jaḥ, -jātaḥ) 1 Name of the plant अग्निजार (agnijāra) (agnaye agnyuddīpanāya jāyate sevanāt prabhavati).

1) Name of Kārttikeya पराभिनत्क्रौञ्चमिवाद्रिमग्निजः (parābhinatkrauñcamivādrimagnijaḥ) Mahābhārata (Bombay) 8.9. 68.3. Viṣṇu.
