Adhyarbuda (अध्यर्बुद).—[adhikaṃ or adhijātaṃ arbudam] A tumour, goitre; यज्जायतेऽन्यत्खलु पूर्वजाते ज्ञेयं तदध्यर्बुदमर्बुदज्ञैः (yajjāyate'nyatkhalu pūrvajāte jñeyaṃ tadadhyarbudamarbudajñaiḥ) Suśr.

Adhyarbuda (अध्यर्बुद):—[tatpurusha compound] n.

(-dam) An indolent swelling, the growth of which begins in the embryo and which is considered incurable. According to the native commentaries it is a hereditary disease and in so far always also dvirarbuda (q. v.), though the latter is distinct from it in some respects. E. adhi and arbuda; ‘an Arbuda or indolent swelling which reaches beyond (scil.) birth’, i. e. which takes place prior to birth.
