Ādhivedanika (आधिवेदनिक).—[adhivedanāya hitaṃ ṭhak tatra kāle dattaṃ ṭhañ vā] Property, gifts &c. made to a first wife upon marrying a second; यच्च द्वितीयविवाहार्थिना पूर्वस्त्रियै पारितोषिकं धनं दत्तं तदाधिवेदनिकम् (yacca dvitīyavivāhārthinā pūrvastriyai pāritoṣikaṃ dhanaṃ dattaṃ tadādhivedanikam) Viṣṇu.; cf.
