Adhikṣip (अधिक्षिप्).—6 P.

1) To insult, abuse, asperse, vilify, traduce, censure; किं मां संभृतदोषैरधिक्षिपथ (kiṃ māṃ saṃbhṛtadoṣairadhikṣipatha) Ś.5 heap accusations on me; नृपतावधिक्षिपति शौरिम् (nṛpatāvadhikṣipati śaurim) Śiśupālavadha 15.44; न मे पादरजसा तुल्य इत्यधिक्षिप्तः (na me pādarajasā tulya ityadhikṣiptaḥ) M.1.

2) To throw or lay upon, bespatter.

3) To superinduce (disease).

4) To surpass. cf. अधिक्षिपदब्जनेत्र (adhikṣipadabjanetra) a. Having eyes which eclipse the lotus.
