adhavyācā (अधव्याचा).—a (adhvā S Road.) One off the road, viz. one suddenly risen into power or wealth, an upstart: also one engaging himself amongst matters new to his whole line of ancestors. Pr. a0 jōḍalā āṇi piḍhīcā mōḍalā (barōbara hōta nāhīṃ) Upstart opulence cannot come up to reduced gentility.
