Aḍac (अडच्).—tad. affix अड (aḍa) applied in the sense of pitiable or poor to a word preceded by the word उप (upa) when the whole word after उप (upa) is dropped, e.g उपड् (upaḍ) (उपेन्द्रदत्त (upendradatta) + अड् (aḍ)) see. p. V. 3. 80.
