Abhyupaga (अभ्युपग).—1 P.

1) (a) To go to or near, approach; परलोकमभ्युपगते (paralokamabhyupagate) (bhartari) विविशुः (viviśuḥ) Śiśupālavadha 9.13. (b) To come to the help of; वयमभ्युपगच्छामः कृष्णेन त्वां प्रघर्षितम् (vayamabhyupagacchāmaḥ kṛṣṇena tvāṃ pragharṣitam) Hariv. (c) To have recourse to. (d) To arrive at (a point of time); आषाढीमभ्युपगतो भरतः (āṣāḍhīmabhyupagato bharataḥ) Rām.

2) To obtain, get.

3) To admit, grant, own; अभ्युपगतं तावदस्माभिरेवम् (abhyupagataṃ tāvadasmābhirevam) Ś. we admit all this; Mu.3.

4) To assent to, agree to, undertake, promise; Daśakumāracarita 73. -Caus. To induce or cause one to assent to or grant; मामभ्युपगमय्य (māmabhyupagamayya) Daśakumāracarita 6,118.
