To rain upon, pour, sprinkle, water, bedew, cover with (a shower of anything), pour or shower down upon; प्रस्रवेणाभिवर्षन्ती (prasraveṇābhivarṣantī) (bhuvam) R.1.84; 1.48,15.58,99; Kirātārjunīya 2.31; बाणैर्मामभिवर्षति (bāṇairmāmabhivarṣati) V.4. -Caus.
