1) A march.

(-ṇam) 1) March in general; (Rāman. on the Amarak. = gamana; Nīlak., Padārthakaum.: vijigīṣoḥ prayāṇe with the addition: upacārādanyatrāpi; and comp. Halāyudha's defin. of abhiṣeṇana, ‘yatsenayābhiniryāṇaṃ smṛtaṃ tadabhiṣeṇanam’).

2) March of one who wants to conquer, invasion; (Rāyamuk., Bharatam., Sārasund. &c. = vijigīṣoḥ prayāṇam). E. with nir and abhi, kṛt aff. lyuṭ.
